Do not choose resolution in isolation. Consider the minimum sample mass, tolerance of the method and how operators will use the balance.

Drafts, vibration, temperature changes and static electricity can affect weighing. The installation environment should be considered alongside the balance.

Calibration and traceability

Ask how calibration is performed, documented and scheduled, and whether internal calibration is available for the intended workflow.
